Who we are

BrightCover Insurance is a trade name of Saguaro Home and Auto LLC, a licensed insurance agency in Arizona.

This policy explains what this website collects, what the quote form asks for, and how we handle information you give us.

What this website collects on its own

This website sets no cookies. There is no account sign-in and no advertising tracker.

We use two measurement tools from our hosting provider, Vercel: Vercel Analytics, which counts page views, and Vercel Speed Insights, which measures how quickly pages load for real visitors. Both are cookieless. They do not identify you, do not follow you to other websites, and are not used for advertising. They record general information such as the page visited, the referring site, approximate country, and device and browser type.

Our host also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and for diagnosing faults.

The assistant on this website

This website has an automated assistant you can ask questions. It is software, not a person, and it says so when you open it. It answers general questions about the kinds of coverage we place.

It asks for your consent before you can type anything into it. Until you give that consent, nothing is sent anywhere.

What you type is sent to Anthropic, which operates the language model that produces the replies, so that it can generate an answer. Anthropic processes it on our behalf under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models. We do not keep a transcript of the conversation, and nothing from it is written to our logs.

If you give the assistant your name and a phone number or email address, that — together with a short summary of what you asked about — is recorded in our customer system so a licensed agent can follow up, and we may be sent an email telling us you got in touch. That is the only part of a conversation that is kept.

Please do not type a Social Security number, driver license number, date of birth, or bank or card details into the assistant. It is told to refuse them. Use the quote form or the telephone for anything of that kind.

The quote form

The quote form asks for what an insurance carrier needs in order to rate a policy. Depending on the coverage you choose, that includes your name, address, phone number, email address, the vehicles or property to be insured, details about your business, and your current insurance.

For auto coverage it also asks for a date of birth and a driver license number. Carriers require both to rate an auto policy. We ask for nothing else of that kind: we do not ask for a Social Security number, and we never ask for bank or card details on this website.

While the secure connection to our agency system is still being finished, the quote form does not accept submissions and nothing you type into it is transmitted or stored anywhere. When it does open, the information goes directly to our agency system over an encrypted connection. Dates of birth and license numbers are never sent by email.

How we use it and who we share it with

We use what you tell us to quote, place and service insurance for you. That means:

  • Insurance companies and their wholesalers, to obtain quotes and to bind and service a policy. Each carrier handles your information under its own privacy policy, which governs once the information reaches them.
  • Service providers we use to run the agency, such as email, document storage and our agency management system, acting on our instructions.
  • Others where the law requires it, including the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions, or in response to lawful legal process.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Consumer reports

When you ask us to obtain a quote, a carrier may obtain a report about your driving record, your claims history or a credit-based insurance score. That is the carrier doing it under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, not us. We will tell you before we submit an application that triggers one.

How long we keep it

We keep quote and policy records for as long as needed to service your coverage and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to a licensed insurance agency in Arizona, and then we dispose of them securely.

Email is not secure

If you email us, that message travels unencrypted and sits in an inbox. Please do not email us driver license numbers, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, bank details or card numbers. Use the quote form once it is open, or call us.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time and we will stop.

A note on scope: Arizona has no general consumer privacy statute of the kind in California or Colorado, so there is no state-level request process to point you to. We will honour the requests above regardless.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If we add an advertising tracker or anything that sets a cookie, this page will say so before it goes live.
