Business and commercial insurance

Commercial coverage is written around what your business actually does, so the quote depends on details a personal policy never asks about. Contracts, leases and licensing boards often dictate the limits, and we would rather read those requirements than guess at them.

What this coverage generally includes

  • General liability
  • Business owners policy (BOP), liability and property together
  • Commercial property, equipment and tools
  • Commercial auto, owned and hired and non-owned
  • Workers compensation
  • Professional liability and errors and omissions
  • Commercial umbrella
  • Certificates of insurance for your clients and landlords

What we will ask you

  • What the business does, in detail, and annual revenue
  • Payroll and the number of employees and subcontractors
  • Any contract, lease or license that specifies insurance requirements
  • Vehicles, equipment, tools and the locations you operate from

Worth knowing

  • Arizona requires workers compensation for businesses with employees. Subcontractors can count as employees for this purpose.
  • A personal auto policy generally excludes business use. Vehicles used for work usually belong on a commercial policy.
  • We can issue certificates of insurance once a policy is in force, normally the same business day.

Descriptions of coverage on this site are general summaries for information only. They are not an offer of insurance, not a contract, and not a guarantee of coverage or price. Only the policy issued by the insurance company determines what is covered. Coverage, availability, discounts and eligibility vary by carrier and by applicant and are subject to underwriting.
